As of Thursday morning, LSU is a 7.5-point favorite to beat Georgia in the SEC Championship Game on Saturday.

LSU has one of the best offenses in the nation, and Georgia’s offense has been banged up (and only average when it has been at full strength).

But, on his podcast this week, ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit said Georgia QB Jake Fromm’s big-game experience gives the Bulldogs a chance to pull off the upset (via 247Sports):

“Any time you have a quarterback who’s been into battle as many times as Jake Fromm has, you always have a chance,” Herbstreit said. “LSU and Joe Burrow’s offense against that defense from Georgia? Man, that is must-see TV right there. I can’t wait to watch that. That’s going to be awesome. You’ve got a great defense, and you’ve got Jake Fromm. And you’ve got D’Andre Swift. Even though he’s banged up, he’s more than capable.”

Fromm has been a part of some big wins in a Georgia uniform, but he’s also been on the field for a pair of collapses against Alabama, both in the national title game a couple of years ago and the SEC title game last season.

Can the Bulldogs get redemption this time around? We’ll find out on Saturday afternoon in Atlanta.
