LOOK: College football fans react to surprising news that Justin Fields intends to leave Georgia
In some surprising news on Monday night, USA TODAY reporter Dan Wolken reported that 5-star freshman QB Justin Fields intends to transfer from Georgia.
Apparently, the prospect of sitting behind Jake Fromm next year (and potentially in 2020, too) didn’t appeal to Fields, so now he’ll explore other options.
That, understandably, led to a flurry of reactions from Georgia fans — which were negative — and reactions from fans across the rest of the country who would like to see Fields wearing their team’s jersey next fall.
Below, you can see some of the reactions that are pouring in on Twitter involving the elite quarterback prospect:

Justin Fields never was a fit in Georgia’s system, basically wasted a year of his college career

Damn Fromm done made two 5 star QBs number 1 overall players coming out of high school transfer. They still don't know if he's a NFL quarterback. We don't have a backup now. #UGA #GeorgiaFootball #justinfields

And we are going to lose #JustinFields. That will come back to haunt us in a year or two. I would take him over Fromm any day of the week. This is the worse. @TheDavenReport @ChristineOnTV #GoDawgs pic.twitter.com/Hyhhl04yNX
