LOOK: Justin Fields thanks Georgia fans for huge spring game turnout
The Georgia Bulldogs played their annual spring game in front of an impressive crowd of more than 82,000 fans on Saturday afternoon.
Those fans who packed Sanford Stadium also got to see 5-star 2018 QB Justin Fields’ Georgia debut — a solid performance from the freshman.
On Sunday, Fields took to Twitter to thank fans for coming out to support the Dawgs as they kicked off their 2018 season:
I just want to thank all of the Dawg fans for coming out and supporting the team yesterday! Best fans in the country by far! #GoDawgs pic.twitter.com/VcM3tIHcmH

The 82,000 fans gave Georgia the biggest spring crowd in the SEC, topping Alabama by about 8,000 fans.
Those who came out on Saturday got to see Fields go 18-for-33 passing for 207 yards and a touchdown. Jake Fromm is still the favorite to start this fall, but Fields showed he’s ready for the spotlight if Fromm should falter.
