The Georgia Bulldogs landed a commitment from two-sport Mississippi star John Rhys Plumlee Friday night.

Plumlee committed to Georgia over Auburn, Mississippi State and Ole Miss, among others.

The 6-foot-1, 185-pound QB is projected as an athlete, per the recruiting agencies. He’s rated a 4-star prospect and ranked as the nation’s No. 20 overall athlete and the state’s No. 12 overall prospect, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.

The signal caller threw for 1,759 yards, 14 touchdowns and nine INTs last season, according to MaxPreps. He also rushed for another 599 yards and eight touchdowns.

In addition to football, Plumlee is a standout center fielder who could play both sports. Usually, QBs concentrate on football only, but we’ll have to wait to find out what Plumlee decides to do.
