Georgia’s 2020 class is down a commitment.

On Tuesday, River Ridge, Louisiana (a suburb of New Orleans) ATH Corey Wren announced he has backed off his pledge to the Bulldogs.

“After talking with my family and my coaches, I will be re-opening my recruitment and looking deeper into programs,” Wren wrote on Twitter. “I would like to thank the University of Georgia coaching staff and their fan base for the amount of love and support shown during this process. I wish you all the best. Thank you!”

The John Curtis product was being recruited as a wide receiver by UGA. The 5-9, 170-pound 3-star recruit is an accomplished sprinter, with multiple 60-meter championships and impressive 100-meter times, per 247Sports. As a football recruit, he is rated the No. 23 prospect out of Louisiana, No. 25 athlete and No. 520 player overall nationally.

Wren has 31 scholarship offers, including Kentucky, Mississippi State and Tennessee. He pledged to Georgia back on June 21, 2019.

Georgia still has 15 commitments in a 2020 class ranked No. 5 nationally and No. 3 in the SEC on the Composite.
