Paul Finebaum believes Georgia can be better this season than last year’s national championship team, and the Bulldogs are just getting started.

Finebaum shared his thoughts on ESPN Radio Wednesday morning on the “Keyshawn, JWill and Max” show.

“Yes, I’m not sure from a defensive standpoint they could be, even though they’ve been better so far, just the pure wealth of talent on that team,” he said. “But they’re playing very well, cohesively, they’re shutting everybody down. … They have been about as dominating as any team I’ve ever seen.”

Finebaum said Georgia has played 2 decent teams and one cream puff.

“The difference is the offense, and the offense is explosive,” Finebaum said. “Stetson Bennett, who was a walk-on, is looking like a Heisman Trophy candidate, and they’ve got so many weapons, especially Brock Bowers.”

Finebaum also noted that Georgia at this moment looks, “significantly better than Alabama, which is saying a lot considering we thought Alabama was almost the unanimous No. 1 3 weeks ago.”
