The 6-foot-1, 189-pound Davis registered 55 total tackles, two interceptions, four tackles-for-loss and a sack and a half this season. Davis’ decision to return ensures one of Georgia’s most experienced defensive backs will return, as the junior has appeared in 36 games over the last three seasons.

Davis adds his name to the growing list of Georgia players to announce they would return for the 2017 season, joining Nick Chubb, Sony Michel, Davin Bellamy, Lorenzo Carter and Dominick Sanders. The only Bulldog to declare early for the 2017 NFL Draft thus far is receiver Isaiah McKenzie.

Considering all the players planning on returning to Athens next season, don’t be surprised to see Georgia quickly becoming the offseason favorite to win the East division in 2017.
