Another key Georgia player is being reported as out against Florida.

College football insider Bruce Feldman reported that he is hearing the Bulldogs will be without defensive lineman Jordan Davis for Saturday’s showdown in Jacksonville. The UGA standout was injured in the first half of the 14-3 win over Kentucky.

On Wednesday’s SEC media teleconference, Smart was hopeful Davis would be able to play even if only in a reduced role.

“Jordan is still day-to-day,” Smart said. “We’re hopeful that he’s able to go. Obviously yesterday we didn’t practice so there’s not a lot there, but we’re trying to get him back even if it’s just a role. We think he can play a role in the game and hopefully, he’s able to do that.”

No. 5 Georgia and No. 8 Florida are set to kickoff at 3:30 p.m. ET in Jacksonville, with the game airing on CBS.
