Stetson Bennett is soaking in his Big Man on Campus stature at Georgia, and on Friday, took part in batting practice at Foley Field ahead of the Bulldogs’ season opener against Albany.
While it was not captured on this video, Bennett reportedly launched a home run over the left-center field fence.
After Bennett led Georgia to a national championship last month, and with spring practice only weeks away, he’s certainly keeping himself busy. It also begs the question, what can’t he do for the Dawgs athletics department?

As for the program, Georgia returns 29 lettermen including 8 starting position players and 13 pitchers who logged innings a year ago. Junior RHP Jonathan Cannon and sophomore LHP Jaden Woods were named to the preseason All-SEC 2nd Team in a vote of the league’s coaches, according to a news release.
Georgia was picked to finish third in the SEC East behind Vanderbilt and Florida. Arkansas was picked to win the West while Ole Miss was the favorite to win the league title. Cannon, who will start Opening Day, made a couple of preseason All-America teams too. Four Bulldog starters have already earned their degree including the leading returning hitter in outfielder Connor Tate (.344-10-33).
