WATCH: Former Georgia RB Sony Michel scores first NFL TD, tops 100 yards
Sony Michel’s professional career got off to a bit of a slow start following a summer knee procedure that slowed him in the preseason and early in the regular season.
But the former Georgia star has kicked it into gear for the New England Patriots, and turned in his first touchdown on Sunday in a rout of the Miami Dolphins on a 10-yard run where he scampered in untouched. Michel also topped 100 yards.
Michel missed the season opener, but has slowly picked up his production. He had 10 carries for 34 yards at Jacksonville, and then 14 carries for 50 yards last week against Detroit.
Though New England is know for rotating running backs frequently, Michel seems like he fits the part to be a contributor for the Patriots for the foreseeable future.
