High school defenders in North Carolina are coming up with creative ways to try to stop UGA commit Zamir White.

White, a 5-star running back out of Scotland County (Laurinburg, N.C.), is rated as the No. 1 player in the country at his position, according to the 247Sports Composite.

The 6-foot-1, 220-pound back is a force on the ground. Most high school kids just have no chance of slowing him down, much less stopping him.

And if you can’t stop a guy from running all over you, sometimes you just have to rip his shoe off and throw it into the stands.

In the video below, which was posted on Twitter by Scott Cole, that’s exactly what one defender tried to do.

Smart move by this guy:

White wanted to keep playing with one shoe, but an official apparently said he needed to have two.
