Talk about a comeback!

Georgia football is heading back to the National Championship game and will face off against TCU after beating Ohio State, 42-41 in the Peach Bowl. Ohio State’s game-winning field goal attempt sailed wide left as the ball dropped to ring in the new year, finishing one of the craziest CFP games we’ve ever seen.

Georgia head coach Kirby Smart was interviewed on the field just seconds after Ohio State’s missed kick sent them back to the Championship game. He was asked how the Bulldogs were able to pull off a comeback of 14 points with just over 10 minutes remaining in the 4th quarter.

“Great resiliency, never say die attitude, great toughness,” Smart said about his team. “At the end of the day we didn’t play real well, Ohio State probably deserved to win the game. But we never quite, maybe we didn’t play our best game maybe they didn’t either. We missed some field goals earlier that cost us, we stayed in the game and hit some big plays. I couldn’t be prouder of these kids. This is a special group now, they’ve overcome, everyone was questioning them all year, lack of respect from game 1 until, I’m proud of them. Go Dawgs.”

The Bulldogs will face off against TCU for all the marbles on Monday, Jan. 9. The game is set to kick off at 7:30 p.m. and will be aired on ESPN.
