As well as Auburn Tigers quarterback Bo Nix played against LSU last week in Baton Rouge, there are still questions about whether or not he can keep up his good play especially against the Georgia Bulldogs defense, who is ranked No. 1 in the country.

ESPN College GameDay analysts Desmond Howard and David Pollack discussed on Friday’s “College Football Live” whether or not Auburn will score a touchdown this weekend against the Dawgs. At all.

Pollack and Howard both think Auburn will score this weekend.

“I think they’ll find the end zone,” Pollack said. “Some kind of misdirection, some kind of trick play. You saw them a week ago kind of run an end-around, have success. Bo Nix scrambling around running ability. Yeah, they’ll reach the end zone, they’ll get one, Des.”

Howard then offered his opinion.

“I agree with you because you know Bo Nix, he likes to incorporate that playground, backyard style of football, that means it puts a lot of pressure on the back end,” Howard said. “… So you have a quarterback that can improvise like that, it increases your chances of scoring at least one touchdown against the best defense in college football.”

The two also think this Georgia defense may be one of the best ever.

“I have to see more, because I have to see them against better competition,” Howard said. “Because Clemson’s offense, that’s terrible. Arkansas, they blanked Arkansas, which is big, that was huge last week. So they’re doing what they’re supposed to do as a dominant defense no matter who you put on the other side of the ball.”

Pollack said, “I’m starting to trend in a direction of all-time great defenses.”
