Will Levis had an impressive Kentucky debut on Saturday. If it’s a sign of things to come, it could be a huge year for the Wildcats’ redshirt junior quarterback.

Perhaps it’s all those bananas — and banana peels.

In case you somehow missed it last month, Levis went viral with a video in which he showed how he eats bananas. He doesn’t peel it like most people. Instead, he just eats the whole thing, peel and all. He later justified it by saying it tastes like “banana bread.”

SEC Network’s Alyssa Lang apparently had to try it for herself. During Saturday’s broadcast of Kentucky’s opener against UL Monroe, she ate a banana while on the sideline. And she did it Levis’ way — peel and all.

The verdict? “It’s not bad,” Lang said.

Here’s a clip from Lang testing out this banana-eating method:

No matter how well Levis plays this season, he may still go down as the Kentucky quarterback who ate bananas in a weird way. Even if there’s now others trying it for themselves.

But Levis clearly knows how to throw the football, too. With 9 minutes to go in the fourth quarter on Saturday, he was 18-for-26 for 367 yards and 4 touchdowns.
