Ashton Hagans extends Kentucky record streak to 7 games after stat correction
Heading into Saturday’s game at Auburn, Kentucky freshman PG Ashton Hagans had set a school record by recording at least three steals in six straight games (including an eight-steal performance against North Carolina that tied a Kentucky single-game record).
However, when Saturday’s victory over the Tigers was in the books, the box score showed that the talented freshman had only recorded a single swipe.
That’s when another film review saved the day. Per The Athletic’s Kyle Tucker, the film review led to Hagans being credited with two more steals, extending his streak to seven games:
Another film review leads to an Ashton Hagans stat-line change: He adds two steals – which is legit in my book, because he absolutely was responsible for a couple that weren't credited – so that's SEVEN straight games with three-plus steals, extending his own school record.

Hagans only had six points against Auburn, but added seven rebounds and six assists to go with his outstanding defensive performance.
He’s coming into his own as a star, and the sky is the limit for the former 5-star recruit.
