In an odd twist, Kentucky’s latest recruiting class has regained the commitment of Jarren Williams just weeks after the Georgia quarterback decommitted from the school. The news has the potential to save the latest Wildcat recruiting class after the 2017 class was setback after losing quarterback Mac Jones to Alabama following his long commitment to Kentucky.

Now with Williams back on board, the Wildcats currently have nine total 2018 commitments and once again have a Top 25 nationally ranked recruiting class. UK currently sits behind only LSU and Tennessee in terms of 2018 recruiting classes from the SEC.

Here’s Williams announcement of his decision to rejoin the Kentucky class.

The 6-foot-2, 206-pound Williams currently ranks as a three-star prospect but does hold scholarship offers from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, LSU and Florida State. He has also been selected as an Elite 11 Finals participant. 247Sports ranks Williams as the No. 16 quarterback prospect in the nation.
