Barion Brown was off to the races again, taking the 2nd half kickoff back for 6 points in the Gator Bowl.

Brown now has 3 kickoff returns for touchdowns this season with his latest score. He broke the record for the longest kickoff return in Gator Bowl history, which was previously set by Florida’s Andre DeBose in 2012.

Getting into a footrace with Brown is not the best move. He dashed past the Clemson special teams, hardly getting touched on his way to the endzone.

The score gave Kentucky an 11-point lead in the game, which is now 21-16 early in the 4th quarter.

Brown earlier in the game scored on a 22-yard run.

Brown was a former 4-star wideout in the 2022 class out of Nashville (Tenn.) Pearl-Cohn. He was the No. 16 WR and No. 3 player in the state of Tennessee, per the 247Sports Composite. He had SEC offers from Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Georgia, LSU, Mississippi State, Missouri, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Texas A&M, and South Carolina.

Kentucky has used Brown as an impact player in the return game ever since he arrived in Lexington and it’s paid dividends over the last 2 seasons. The Wildcats special teams unit will be lethal with Brown returning kickoffs and punts.
