Boogie Fland, a 5-star point guard out of White Plains (N.Y.) Archbishop Stepinac, has made his college commitment.

Fland, who named finalists as Kentucky, Indiana and Alabama chose the Wildcats during a Friday afternoon press conference after the recruitment seemed to be a battle between UK and IU.

Fland is ranked No. 33 overall at 247Sports – but No. 20 in the industry generated composite ranking – and the highest ranked combo guard available. The 6-foot-2 senior has been the focus of an intense recruiting battle as John Calipari made multiple late visits to Fland.

Fland is listed as a combo guard by 247Sports and a PG by On3.

Earlier this month, Fland was one of 84 players to compete at the USA Basketball Junior National Team October Minicamp in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Fland is a scorer, and averaged 15.0 points per game and a 33.3% 3-point rate for the PSA Cardinals of the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League this summer. Fland was also a gold medalist for the 2022 USA Basketball U17 National Team.
