While Kentucky may not be done with the program’s 2020 recruiting cycle, that isn’t going to stop Mark Stoops and company from working hard on the 2021 class that’s over a year away from being finalized.

If you missed the news on Monday night, the Wildcats landed their first commitment of the 2021 recruiting cycle from Dublin Coffman standout Devon Williams of Ohio. The 6-foot-1, 215-pound junior prospect currently ranks as a three-star prospect, the No. 16 overall recruit from Ohio and the nation’s No. 33 outside linebacker according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Williams picked Kentucky over scholarship offers from Arkansas, Boston College, Michigan, Michigan State, Pitt and Purdue, among others. Vince Marrow was Williams’ primary recruiter at Kentucky, which should clue you in to the fact that the Wildcats really wanted the Ohio native to join the program.

The Ohio native plays both inside and outside linebacker for Dublin Coffman as well as some running back for his team.
