Jacquez Jones is staying in the Southeastern Conference.

After leading Ole Miss in tackles during the 2020 season, Jones made the decision to leave Lane Kiffin’s Rebel program last week.

One visit to Lexington was all Jones needed to see as the linebacker has already signed with Mark Stoops’ Kentucky program. Kentucky officially announced the addition of Jones on Thursday.

“We are thrilled to add Jacquez to our team,” Stoops said in a released statement. “He’s an experienced playmaker who has been a great leader in our league.”

Kentucky’s newest linebacker has two seasons of eligibility remaining at the collegiate level.

Jones comes to Kentucky after making 33 total appearances during his college career with 19 starts. He started nine games for Ole Miss last season and led the team with 75 tackles.
