The Kentucky Wildcats are in Jacksonville, Florida, for their first-round game in the NCAA Tournament.

The Wildcats are the No. 2 seed in the Midwest region, and will play No. 15 seed Abilene Christian in the first game of what they hope will be a deep tourney run.

However, they’re dealing with an injury to star F PJ Washington, who has reportedly been in a walking boot the past couple of days. On Wednesday, coach John Calipari said Washington has a sprained foot and the Wildcats are being cautious with him:

It’s nice that the tests came back with good news, but we’ll see if Washington is able to play on Thursday against Abilene Christian.

The Cats can probably get by without him in Round 1, but moving forward, they’ll need him at full strength if they’re going to keep advancing.
