WATCH: Kentucky outfielders make 2 ridiculous catches against Texas Tech

The college baseball season is underway.
Kentucky has a tall task this weekend playing against No. 3 Texas Tech in Lubbock. The Cats swept Austin Peay on opening weekend (8-4, 12-5 and 11-1), and they’re looking to have a big weekend against the Red Raiders. However, things got off on the wrong foot, as Texas Tech beat Kentucky 7-4 in the opener.
During Friday night’s game, though, two Kentucky outfielders made potential SportsCenter Top 10 plays.
First, left fielder Ryan Shinn went full extension on a ball in left center. Many diving plays are seen in baseball, but not many of them are full extension. Check this out:

Shinn also added three hits in the loss.
Later in the game, right fielder Jaren Shelby climbed the wall and saved either an extra base hit or a home run:
