Kentucky is off to a 4-1 start, but it is the one loss that will haunt Wildcats fans.

Kentucky suffered a late loss against the Florida Gators in a game that the Wildcats seemed to control all night. It was a bitter defeat, but fans turned out to provide an incredible atmosphere for the game. The football team even took out an ad to praise Big Blue Nation’s support against the Gators.

Kentucky did get back on track with a win against Eastern Michigan, but the Wildcats struggled throughout the game. The Wildcats came out on top 24-20 to avoid the upset.

The atmosphere for that contest was noticeably different than the atmosphere surrounding the Florida game. ESPN reported the official attendance for the EMU game at just under 51,000, and at least one player would love to have a better showing by the fans when Missouri visits this weekend.

Freshman receiver Lynn Bowden took to Twitter Thursday to encourage BBN to show up big time:

Bowden looks like he is finally getting on track after a slow start to the season. He had three offensive touches for 24 yards and one kick return for 26 yards in the win over EMU.

Saturday’s kickoff against Missouri is set for 7:30 pm EST on the SEC Network.
