Kentucky landed its 17th commitment for the 2020 recruiting class from a 3-star cornerback out of Louisville’s Pleasure Ridge Park.
Elijah Reed, who is listed at 6-foot-3 and 180 pounds, announced on social media that he committed to Kentucky, and wrote, “First, I would like to thank God for blessing me with the opportunity to continue playing the sport I love. I want to thank my family, PRP and all of my coaches for believing in me through this process.”
Reed is ranked the No. 17 player in the state of Kentucky, and the No. 127 cornerback in this class, according to the 247Sports Composite.

It’s been a whirlwind recruitment for Reed, who the end of last season didn’t have a single college offer, and now had 5 offers when he made the commitment to Kentucky, WLKY reported. The known offers after Kentucky are Utah, Illinois, Purdue and West Virginia.
“I came into this year just hoping to get more action, to be honest, and I thought I’d get more action defensively,” Reed said.
