Kentucky now holds commitments from 10 prospects in the 2021 recruiting following Mark Stoops’ program landing its latest pledge as junior college athlete Joko Willis is now a Wildcat.

The 6-foot-3, 215-pound Independence Community College product, of “Last Chance U” fame, picked the Wildcats over scholarship offers from Arkansas, Mississippi State and Kansas State.

At this time, Willis does not have a recruiting ranking.

He announced his commitment to Kentucky with the following statement:

“I am thankful and grateful to everybody who has helped me further my education and football athleticism. I want to thank Coach Tanner Glisson and Troup High. I want to thank Coach Harris and the Indy family. With this being said, I would like to announce that I will be furthering my education and football abilities at the University of Kentucky”

Based on his junior season highlight reel, Willis possesses the toughness and physicality Stoops loves in his defensive players in Lexington.
