Beau Allen shared his respect for Mark Stoops and the Kentucky program in his announcement of his decision to enter the transfer portal.
The Kentucky quarterback described the decision as in the best interest of his football career. Allen has been at Kentucky since enrolled as a 3-star recruit out of Lexington Catholic in the 2020 recruiting class. Allen was the No. 21 pro-style quarterback in the class of 2020 and the No. 5 overall recruit from the state of Kentucky. He joined the roster when the Wildcats had Terry Wilson and Joey Gatewood on the roster, and this season was expected to be the backup to Will Levis.
