Kentucky RB Chris Rodriguez reveals plans for 2021 season
Kentucky’s leading rusher has confirmed he’ll be back for 2021.
Chris Rodriguez tweeted Wednesday, “Can’t wait for next season and the opportunity to work with (offensive coordinator) Liam Coen and (running backs coach) Jemal Singleton. Let’s work BBN.”
Rodriguez was labeled a sophomore this season. As a redshirt sophomore, he was eligible to enter the 2021 NFL Draft being three seasons removed from high school graduation.
The McDonough, Georgia native and Ola product stepped up as Kentucky’s leading rusher on a 2020 squad having to fill the void left by Lynn Bowden’s departure. Rodriguez led the way in all the major rushing categories with 119 carries for 785 yards and 11 touchdowns. His average of 6.60 yards per carry was third-best in the SEC while his 87.22 yards per game ranked fifth.
Can’t wait for next season and the opportunity to work with @LiamCoen and @CoachSings. Let’s work BBN. #notdoneyet

Good to have you back Mr. Rodriguez! I hope you get over 1,000 yards this season.
He’s gonna be the new Snell.
If the passing game does turn around for the better then Rodriguez made the right call cause the passing game will make defenses stop stacking up front and he will enable to run wild cause he one of the best yards after contact.I look forward to seeing how it all comes together.GO CATS!
