The Kentucky Wildcats got some good news earlier this week, when star LB Josh Allen announced he was going to return to Lexington for his senior season.
That positive momentum for coach Mark Stoops’s defense continued on Tuesday night, as S Mike Edwards announced he would also return.
The Kentucky football Twitter account shared the news, as you can see in the tweet below:

Even though Edwards is a safety, he had an incredible 96 tackles in 13 games this year. He also recorded four tackles for a loss, a sack and four interceptions.
If he continues his improvement, the Kentucky defense could take a major step forward in 2018 before Edwards and Allen head off to the NFL.
