One of Kentucky’s tight ends is looking to head to another program.

Wildcats senior Izayah Cummings announced via Instagram that he is entering the transfer portal as a graduate student.

Cummings was toward the middle of Kentucky’s tight end depth chart. Despite being with the Wildcats for 4 seasons, he only has recorded stats for the 2021 and 2023 seasons. In his career, Cummings has 18 receptions for 293 yards and three touchdowns.

Sophomore Jordan Dingle has the most catches (11) and receiving yards (198) in terms of Kentucky’s tight ends this season.

The Wildcats are coming off a 38-31 win over in-state rival Louisville in the annual Governor’s Cup this past weekend. Kentucky has an all-time record of 20-15 against the Cardinals, which includes the Wildcats winning the last 5 meetings.

Kentucky had recently lost 5 of 6 contests after a 5-0 start to the season.

Against Louisville, Cummings had a reception for 55 yards. In Kentucky’s 17-14 loss to South Carolina on Nov. 18, Cummings had 3 catches for 43 yards.

Kentucky (7-5) will now await its opponent during bowl season.
