Kentucky shows off first look at transfer Oscar Tshiebwe in a Wildcat uniform
The Kentucky Wildcats landed a surprising in-season transfer earlier this year, when West Virginia big man Oscar Tshiebwe announced he was heading to Lexington.
He’ll play a big part in Kentucky’s plans starting with the 2021-22 season, as the Wildcats figure to have plenty of roster spots to fill.
On Thursday evening, the Wildcats tweeted out some pictures of Tshiebwe in his new Kentucky uniform. As you can see below, he’ll keep the same jersey No. 34 that he wore at West Virginia:

Tshiebwe appeared in 10 games for West Virginia before he transferred, starting all 10. He averaged 8.5 points and 7.8 rebounds per contest.
Can he work his way into the starting lineup next season? We’ll find out soon enough.
I hope he’s as good as advertised.
We need all the help we can get.
I’m getting some Mashburn vibes here
not with that career avg
ha just the looks is all
Why would anyone want to join this bunch of misfits?
He is what they are missing this year besides the outside shooting of course.but they need a true inside game changer and he is that.if nothing eles he will bring physical play which is much needed if this team does not rub off on him while practicing with them.but im looking forward to seeing him play.weve not seen nothing like his style of play since cousins played. Not saying he is that good but he is plays physical and with lot of emotion.
