The Kentucky Wildcats landed a surprising in-season transfer earlier this year, when West Virginia big man Oscar Tshiebwe announced he was heading to Lexington.

He’ll play a big part in Kentucky’s plans starting with the 2021-22 season, as the Wildcats figure to have plenty of roster spots to fill.

On Thursday evening, the Wildcats tweeted out some pictures of Tshiebwe in his new Kentucky uniform. As you can see below, he’ll keep the same jersey No. 34 that he wore at West Virginia:

Tshiebwe appeared in 10 games for West Virginia before he transferred, starting all 10. He averaged 8.5 points and 7.8 rebounds per contest.

Can he work his way into the starting lineup next season? We’ll find out soon enough.
