Kentucky WR leaves team
Kentucky wide receiver Thaddeus Snodgrass has left the team.
Snodgrass, a redshirt freshman from Springfield, Ohio, played against Missouri, South Carolina and Eastern Kentucky this season, but did not catch a pass in any of those games.
Snodgrass began the season second on the Wildcats’ depth chart behind Dorian Baker at one wide receiver spot. He was replaced by Garrett Johnson on the depth chart before last week’s game against Auburn.
He was a four-star recruit, but struggled with injuries during his two seasons at Kentucky. He redshirted last year.
Back in April, Snodgrass had a long touchdown catch in one of the Cats’ open spring practices.
“We really feel like he’s got a bright future,” Stoops told the Herald-Leader after that practice. “He’s strong and he’s got a lot of upside. He’s a guy we feel like can help us outside, got some deep balls, just needs to be a little bit more consistent.”
On Wednesday, Snodgrass thanked Kentucky fans for their love and support, and wished his former Wildcat teammates luck.
Thank you #BBN for the love and support and to my bros on the team go out and ball it’s y’alls year!
