For years now, a popular parody account has made Kentucky fans laugh when scrolling through Twitter.
@NotJerryTipton, an account parodying Kentucky reporter Jerry Tipton, grew a big following, having 77,000 followers as of Sunday.
Sadly, Lee Stewart, the man behind the parody account, passed away over the weekend, according to Kentucky Sports Radio’s Matt Jones and others:
RIP @NotJerryTipton who passed away this weekend. He once wrote on KSR and was a brilliant satirist and a huge UK fan.
More importantly he was a great dad with a beautiful family and three daughters. Prayers to his family and friends from all the BBN

Rest in peace to the man behind @NotJerryTipton. He was funny, a huge UK fan and a father of three young girls. Condolences to his family and friends.
And if my math's correct, at the time of his passing, it had been 12,568 days since Louisville's last national championship. pic.twitter.com/TjUpx0HYyM

Back in 2018, the Louisville Courier-Journal did a story on Stewart and his popular Twitter account. You can read it here.
As mentioned in the tweets, Stewart leaves behind 3 daughters. Our thoughts go out to his family and friends after his death over the weekend.
