Kentucky head coach Mark Stoops addressed media in Lexington on Tuesday and had new information regarding the return of 6 Wildcats to the practice field this week.

The players, charged with burglary last month, received good news this week when a grand jury dropped all charges against the group.

UK football and recruiting reporter Nick Roush tweeted the video of the explanation from Stoops at the presser.

The players returning are: Reuben (RJ) Adams, Robert (JuTahn) McClain, Andru Phillips, Earnest Sanders IV, Devito (Vito) Tisdale and Joel Williams. Stoops said the 6 players were not cleared to play last weekend, but that they did return to practice “last Monday” (Sept. 20) despite their inability to play on Saturday.

“We’re glad to be able to welcome these players back to the team and to be eligible to play this week,” Stoops said.

It’ll be a big boost for Kentucky (4-0, 2-0 SEC) and just in time for a critical SEC showdown in the Bluegrass State. Kentucky hosts No. 10 Florida (3-1, 1-1) on Oct. 2 with kickoff set for 6 p.m. Eastern time on Saturday night on ESPN.
