Kentucky proved to be no match for Tennessee last Saturday, as the Volunteers cruised to a 44-6 win in Knoxville.

The Wildcats (5-3) will look to right the ship this Saturday with another road game, this time at Missouri.

On Wednesday during the weekly SEC coaches teleconference, Kentucky coach Mark Stoops was asked if he thought there were some similarities between the 2 programs.

“For us and Missouri to be a little unique in where and how we have to recruit, definitely some similarities,” Stoops said.

Stoops also said Wednesday that in watching the Tigers on film that their defensive line stands out.

“I’ve been very impressed with how active they are,” Stoops said. “It doesn’t take long to put on the film and see how hard they’re playing. It starts there. You’d better have a good scheme and a bunch of players who play hard. … A guy like (Isaiah) McGuire really jumps out at you, along with (Trajan) Jeffcoat.”

Kentucky’s matchup with the Tigers is set for noon (ET) on Saturday and will be televised by the SEC Network.
