John Calipari may have a new-look staff next season in Lexington.

Jeff Goodman of Stadium reports that Wildcats associate head coach Tony Barbee is the frontrunner to land the head coaching job at Central Michigan.

The 2020-21 season was Barbee’s seventh at Kentucky. This past season was his first as the associate head coach.

From his UK bio:

In the seven seasons Barbee has been on staff, the Wildcats have won four Southeastern Conference regular-season championships and four SEC Tournament titles. On the road recruiting in his five seasons as an assistant, he helped secure a top-three recruiting class in every season, including the No. 1 classes in 2016, 2017 and 2020, as designated by the Recruiting Services Consensus Index.

In the same tweet, Goodman noted that current Illinois assistant Orlando Antigua is expected to return to Kentucky.
