Report: Mark Stoops announces the loss of two starting defenders
The hits keep on coming for Kentucky.
According to Jason Marcum of A Sea of Blue, Mark Stoops announced that linebackers De’Niro Laster and Kobie Walker will both miss the remainder of the 2016 season.
Walker endured a shoulder injury during the victory over South Carolina in week four of the season. Laster injured his knee against Alabama a few weeks ago.
The front seven for Kentucky has been decimated by injury — and this furthers the epidemic. While their statistical outputs aren’t stellar, Laster and Walker had been thrust into more significant roles in recent weeks.
Walker has accrued 10 tackles and 0.5 tackles for loss — whilst Laster compiled 14 tackles, 2.0 tackles-for-loss, and 1.0 sacks.
Rough!
I wish the young men well and hope they can return to the sport they love.
But as Kentucky fans, should we have concern about the defense being ‘decimated’?
I mean, if you have read the Lexington newspaper this week, I actually believe if they could rerun the season starting today, and considering all the improvement we have gain from this off week. we could possibly be undefeated.
Never has a team been reported to have become ‘GREAT’ by not playing.
So all you SEC teams left on the schedule, fear not the others on your schedule, mail in your loss so you will have enough healthy players to continue the rest of your games.
Dude…wtf? Why do you have an Alabama photo but claim to be a UK fan? You’re obviously trolling, but why?

Paris is a pathetic old geezer that constantly puts down the Kentucky Football program. He insults the players personally is the worst sort of “fan”. Paris claims to be a 50 year Kentucky fan and season ticket holder. He posts garbage on KSR, SDS and the newspaper under the same name.
He is constipated. I have a theory that he is still ticked off that Blanton Collier (from Paris High School) was fired.
