Kentucky football hosts annual "Fan Day" festivities Saturday
The Kentucky football program held its annual “Fan Day” Saturday morning, inviting members of the Big Blue Nation to meet their favorite Wildcat players and coaches up close at the team’s training facility on campus.
Fans began lining up outside the Nutter Fieldhouse more than an hour before the start of the festivities, which included a 90-minute autograph session followed by a full practice open to the public.
The program’s official twitter account, @UKFootball, captured the excitement on campus this morning, beginning with the line of fans forming prior to the start of the event:

The entire team was made available to the fans Saturday morning, including the coaching staff. As expected, head coach Mark Stoops was popular among the fans, but even the offensive linemen received some love from the fanbase:

Former Kentucky tight end and current Denver Bronco Jacob Tamme was unable to attend Saturday’s event due to his own training camp obligations, but according to this tweet the Tamme family hasn’t forgotten how support the Cats:

(It’s important to note Tamme wore No. 18 during his career at Kentucky.)
The open practice was the first of four practices this week open to the public and the media. The team will hold open practices on Monday and Tuesday, as well as another on Monday, August 18.
