WATCH: Benny Snell Jr. converts 2 4th downs for Steelers, suffers minor injury

This preseason has been a mixed bag for former Kentucky star RB Benny Snell Jr., who was a fourth-round pick of the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 2019 NFL Draft.

On Saturday evening, he played in his second preseason game with the Steelers, rushing for a paltry 16 yards on 7 carries and adding 5 yards on 2 receptions.

However, it wasn’t all bad, as Snell did convert a couple of fourth downs for the Steelers with some very tough runs:

After the game, though, Steelers coach Mike Tomlin announced that Snell had suffered a minor groin injury. He added that it’s not expected to be serious:

Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said Devin Bush was held out tonight with a shoulder injury. Sounded like just a precaution. No update on Ola Adeniyi’s status or timetable. Benny Snell (groin) and Anthony Chickillo (chest) got banged up tonight but nothing serious.

The Steelers managed to beat the Kansas City Chiefs 17-7, but we’ll have to see if Snell’s availability next week is impacted.
