The Kentucky Wildcats will have a tough road to the SEC regular-season title, as they have one of the hardest schedules in the conference.

Kentucky has to play Auburn, Tennessee, Mississippi State, Vanderbilt and Florida twice, and all those teams are among the favorites to win the conference title.

On Friday, coach John Calipari said he’s a bit concerned about the Wildcats’ tough SEC schedule, but added that there’s nothing he can do about it:

“This used to be everybody had to play everybody twice,” he said. “Now, whoever the best teams are, that’s who we’re playing, which is fine. It is what it is. That’s why our non-conference schedule, which is always one of the top two, three, five — whatever you want to say — every year. When we start putting these together, I’ve got to make sure, non-conference wise, that we’re doing the right stuff, because this is a bear for young teams.”

As usual, once the postseason rolls around, Kentucky will be one of the most battle-tested teams in the country. With a streak of SEC Tournament titles on the line, they’ll be a tough team to beat next March.
