What John Calipari said after Kentucky's home victory over Florida
The No. 6 Kentucky Wildcats finished their regular season with a bang, coming from behind to beat Florida 66-57 in Lexington.
Now, if LSU loses at home to Vanderbilt on Saturday night, the Wildcats will share the regular-season title with the Tennessee Volunteers and LSU.
However, the Wildcats are gearing up to make an SEC Tournament run, as they have won the last four tourney titles and will enter this year’s bracket as the No. 2 seed.
After Saturday’s game, coach John Calipari weighed in on a number of topics. Here’s a look at what he said in his postgame press conference:
On Florida’s NCAA Tournament credentials:
John Calipari says Florida is an NCAA Tournament team. "And I told our guys, from here on in, that's all you're playing. And we can't have lapses like we had in the first half." (Gators are 17-14 overall, 9-9 SEC, maybe not an NCAA Tournament team.)

On taking a season-low seven three-point shots:
Calipari: "We could shoot more, but this was a game where we said, 'Let's just keep attacking the basket.'" UK took a season-low 7 threes today. Previous low was 9 three attempts … in Tuesday's game.

On resting up for the SEC Tournament:
Calipari said he considered letting his players go home for a couple days before the SEC Tournament to refresh their minds. But none of the guys wanted to do it. They wanted to stay. Still giving them days off, families are all in town, so they'll get to hang with families.

On Reid Travis’s health:
Calipari on Reid Travis' health: He's mostly stayed out of it, mostly hasn't even talked to doctors. "If he plays, I'll be doing back flips. If he doesn't play, we'll just figure it out."
