Brian Kelly’s debut as LSU’s head coach didn’t go according to plan, as the Tigers’ offense struggled for much of the game and a would-be game-tying extra point was blocked, leading to a 24-23 loss to Florida State on Sunday night.

Star WR Kayshon Boutte was visibly frustrated during the game, as he finished with only 2 catches for 20 yards.

On Tuesday, though, Kelly revealed he’s not worried about Boutte, adding that he had a good conversation with the talented receiver on Monday:

“His standard is so high,” Kelly said. “It wasn’t his best game. But he’s going to have great games. He’s the least guy I’m concerned about on our offense. He has handled it in a manner that he’ll learn from.”

That quote will do a lot to soothe worried LSU fans. It seems Boutte is good to go for Week 2. Now, we’ll see if QB Jayden Daniels and the offense can get him the ball a bit more moving forward.
