Football is a strange sport, especially when you consider special teams. Kickers and punters play key roles on every football team at every level above high school, but yet, they generally don’t do the same things other players do during practice.

But, on Monday, LSU kicker Cade York said, at LSU, the kickers get their work in. He then implied that isn’t the case at some other programs around the country.

As you can see below, York quipped that, at LSU, kickers don’t just get a few kicks in and then hit the golf course:

“It’s not like some other schools, where the kicker starts the practice and then goes off and plays 9 holes at the university golf course,” York said with a smile. “We get our work in.”

Well said, Cade.
