While the 2023 season hasn’t gotten started yet, the LSU Tigers got some great news for their future on Thursday.

Caden Durham, a 4-star running back from Duncanville, Texas announced on Thursday that he will be playing college football at LSU.

Durham is the No. 95 prospect in the country, according to the 247Sports Composite. He is the No. 9 running back in the country, and the No. 18 prospect overall in the state of Texas.

The 5-foot-10, 195 pound running back had a monster junior season. He carried the ball 210 times, for 1,960 yards and 36 touchdowns.

His incredible season played a huge role in his team’s success, as Duncanville won its first state title since 1998, defeating Galena Park North Shore, 28-21, in the championship. Durham was a monster in that game, as he rushed for 3 touchdowns in the win.

LSU once again has a very good recruiting class in 2024, as the Tigers are currently ranked 11th in the country. They are currently ranked 5th in the SEC in this class, and their class includes 15 4-star prospects, and 7 3-star prospects.

Durham is the first running back in the class for the Tigers, and he chose LSU over other schools such as Oklahoma and Texas A&M.
