Chris Doering pays up on LSU-Florida bet, receives advice from Brian Kelly
Chris Doering is a glutton for punishment. The Florida great continues to make friendly LSU-UF bets with his SEC Network colleague Peter Burns, a Baton Rouge native, as the Tigers dominate the Gators in the rivalry series.
Doering wore a turkey costume on Monday’s “SEC This Morning” after LSU defeated Florida 52-35 on Saturday. It’s the 5th consecutive year Doering has sported a costume on the show. He also wore an LSU baseball uniform on his flight to Nashville for SEC Media Days after the Tigers defeated UF in the College World Series.

LSU head coach Brian Kelly was amused to see Doering in costume. Kelly suggested that Doering might should get points in future LSU-Florida bets with Burns. Saturday, though, that might not have helped Doering’s cause. ESPN Bet shows the betting line closing at LSU -16.5. The Tigers covered with a 17-point victory.

The man responsible for the last two, @CoachBrianKelly, offered some advice:

Burns is presumably already planning out next year’s costume for Doering.
