College football world rejoices after LSU snaps UCF's 25-game winning streak
Well, it was fun while it lasted.
The undefeated UCF Knights made it 25 games without a loss, and gave LSU all it could handle on Tuesday in the Fiesta Bowl, but came up just short in a 40-32 loss.
The Knights have been talking a lot over the past couple of years, and now the Tigers have taken them down a peg with a strong performance.
On Twitter after the game, fans reveled in the Knights’ loss. As you can see below, there were plenty of people saying UCF couldn’t hang in the SEC or any other Power 5 conferences if they had to play the tough schedules week in and week out:
Looks like there won’t be a Disney World parade in celebration of a fake national title this year #UCF

UCF would be lucky to go 7-5 in the SEC

UCF got smacked around today. Now just imagine if they had to play a full season like that or in a real meaningful game against aN SEC powerhouse. Go to sleep. @UCF_Football #SEC

Welcome to the SEC nation UCF. Better luck in 10 more years

UCF has lost the “National Championship Game” to 9-3 LSU 40-32. UCF doesn’t schedule good teams and now we know why: They can’t beat the good teams! #FiestaBowl

Missing 9 starters and two more got ejected during the game and UCF still can’t win. #lsunattychamps? Lol #kickrocksUCF #nerds

So much for UCF belonging in the national championship discussion. Something tells me this wont shut them up though

Game over. Goodnight UCF. You’ve been entertaining. Don’t wanna hear another word. You got beat by a third string scout defence. Third string SEC. You don’t belong. GATORNATION IS THE BEST COLLEGE TEAM IN FLORIDA.

2 things we learned from the Fiesta Bowl this year:
1. LSU > Auburn
2. SEC > All other conferencesUCF can now shut the heck up!#ThankYouLSU

Alright, good. We don’t have to worry about the UCF argument for two more years.

Good job LSU, while you didn’t make it look easy you did get the job done!
LSU beating UCF without most of their starters proves without a doubt that UCF is NOT a playoff contender!
I am making over $7k a month working part time. I kept hearing other people say to me how much money they can make connected so I decided to look into it. Well, it was all true and has totally changed my existence.
This is what I do……. Perk20.com
Tell you what, Justin Jefferson had one roller-coaster of a game.
He sure did. His teammates bailed him out in the end. Thankfully.
Now I’m just waiting for UCFFAN to show up to explain why they lost and how it wasn’t fair. The game wasn’t as close as the score shows.
No kidding. Playing a skeleton crew on D and left a ton of points on the field with all those chip shot field goals. 560 yards to 250 is hardly a close game.
They won’t stop, I live in Florida. A buddy who went to UCF is trying to tell me he still thinks they can beat Georgia and Alabama.
Now imagine if UCF played against a full roster of LSU 1st stringers in Death Valley. LSU would win by 3+ TDs.
UCF. Joke.
Wasnt UCFs starting QB out? That makes a big difference
Did you miss the part where LSU was missing 8-9 starters from the beginning? That makes a bigger difference.
LSU was out 7 defensive starters before the first snap. They were down two more and playing a wide receiver at corner by halftime. LSU also kicked 4 sub-30 yard field goals. That was a thumping the score didn’t reflect.
I think UCF came out and played like a bunch of playground thugs. Officiating was, again, horrible. In a well officiated game, most of UCF defense, especially secondary, is gone by the second quarter. I have no love for LSU necessarily, but was happy to see them step up and show this classless bunch how real football players look AND act. Good job Tigers.
