Is Raesjon Davis changing his plans?

That much is not known, but Glen West of LSU Country on Sports Illustrated reported that the 4-star linebacker and No. 2-rated commit for the Tigers is at least not planning to sign during the Early Signing Period which begins on Wednesday.

“I am signing on February 3rd to see all of my options out and know exactly where I want to go,” Davis said.

Davis is from Santa Ana, California (Mater Dei) and listed at 6-foot-1 and 215 pounds. He’s ranked the No. 4 outside linebacker in the country, and the No. 45 player overall, according to the 247Sports Composite. Ohio State, Arizona State and Southern Cal are reportedly among the finalists for Davis if he sticks with LSU. But he’s been committed to the Tigers since Jan. 1, 2020.

The complicating factor could be if Davis decides to play his final high school season, which in California has been pushed to the spring. This is definitely a situation to watch going forward.
