Dabo Swinney has increasingly been mentioned for open coaching jobs, between the NFL and college football, and lately, Swinney’s name has come up again, this time related to the LSU coaching search to replace Ed Orgeron.

College football insiders, including Bruce Feldman of The Athletic, has mentioned LSU Athletics Director Scott Woodward having the desire to go after a big name and making that coach tell him no. The Clemson coach was mentioned along those lines.

On Tuesday, Swinney responded to that report.

“This is the only Death Valley I’m concerned with,” Swinney said, per Marc Whiteman.

Swinney also mentioned, perhaps tongue in cheek, “I’m a big time, coach? Wow! I made a big time list, wow.”
