No. 11 LSU (9-3) will be without one of its top defenders for the Fiesta Bowl.

Starting CB Kristian Fulton recently underwent surgery on his foot/ankle and won’t be available to play against UCF. Ed Orgeron shared the news on the Fiesta Bowl teleconference.

Fulton, a junior, has played in 10 games this year. He also missed the Rice and Texas A&M. Despite missing those games, Fulton is still third on the Tigers in passes defended (10), recording nine pass breakups and an interception.

LSU ranks No. 43 nationally in passing defense, allowing 206.8 yards per game. UCF is No. 30 nationally in passing offense, notching 268.9 yards per game.

The game is set for a 1 p.m. ET kickoff from State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz.
