Good news for LSU fans? Without revealing much information, Tigers head coach Ed Orgeron appears to be optimistic in regards to the return of his star pass rusher Arden Key. LSU recently announced Key would be taking an indefinite leave from the football program.

During a Wednesday radio interview with the Tiger Rag Podcast, Orgeron was asked about the potential return of Key.

“We expect (Key) to be fine, expect him to be back. He left for personal reasons and that’s all we’re going to say,” Orgeron said on the program.

When asked if Key would participate in spring football, Orgeron declined to make any other comments on the situation.

Key had 11 sacks and 55 total tackles last season and is regarded as the SEC’s top returning player in 2017 by Pro Football Focus. Key’s availability this spring will arguably be the biggest storyline to watch in the SEC next month, as camps will be underway all across the SEC in March.
