When LSU hits the practice field for the first time this fall, they will be doing so without redshirt freshman defensive lineman Eric Taylor.

According to Shea Dixon of 247Sports, Taylor is no longer a member of the team in Baton Rouge.

An Alabama native, Taylor was a four-star recruit in the 2020 recruiting cycle and was rated as the No. 29 defensive tackle in the country when he signed with LSU.

Here is Taylor’s bio on the LSU team page:

Played at Hewitt-Trussville High School in Trussville, Alabama … Rated a four-star defensive tackle by 247Sports and Rivals … Played in the 2019 Alabama-Mississippi All-State game on Dec. 14 … Finished his career with 77 total tackles, including 58 solo tackles … Averaged 3.1 tackles per game and had a total of 3.5 sacks with one interception and one caused fumble.
